The Community Mosque Academy
“Seek
knowledge from the cradle to the grave” - Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh)

Established in 2002, the Community Mosque Academy was
created to educate the Muslim youth in the Winston-Salem area about
Islam. With the generosity of Muslim teachers and volunteers in the community, we are
striving to provide our knowledge to our children, as commanded by our
Prophet (pbuh).

Policies and
Procedures
Please refer to the school calendar for school holidays and or closings.
Parents, please make
Academy staff aware of any concerns you may have.
Please bring your children to school on time and do
not delay in picking them up by 2PM. Students must arrive BEFORE 10:30
AM to be accepted into class. Parents please note that we will not
accommodate children who arrive late. You MUST bring them to school ON
TIME.
Student (with the
exception of four and five year olds) must bring textbooks, paper,
pen/pencils to each class. Please help your children to keep-up with
their textbooks, and also help them with their homework.
Poor behavior will not
be tolerated in school. When a student has to be sent out of class due
to poor behavior, the problem will be handled by the school coordinator
the first (1st) and second (2nd) time and the
parents will be notified of the occurrences. However, if the same child
behaves poorly a third time and is sent out of the classroom, the parent
will be called by the school coordinator and asked to come to the school
to take the child home.
Community Mosque Academy
has a dress code. It will be enforced, Insha’Allah. Please see to it
that your child is dressed appropriately for attendance at school (see
attached). If a child arrives at school improperly dressed, the parent
will be contacted and asked to come to the school and properly dress the
child or take him/her home.
Parents are free to
visit their child’s classroom at any time. However, we ask that you do
not interrupt the teacher during class time. If you have comments,
concerns or need information, please wait until the teacher has a moment
to speak to you.
