Triad Free Health Clinic will operate on Saturday at 10:00am.  We are in need of volunteers to assist with the Health Clinic to enroll patient and take them from one building to another and assist paper work. If you have few hours a month that you can contribute to this great cause, please contact the Imam.

Alhumdulillah, Community Mosque has signed a contract this week to secure a Boarding House as an income source for the Mosque.  This will allow the Mosque to undertake many different projects, Inshallah, once the house is paid off.  Thank you for everyone's generous donations.  We encourage everyone to keep contributing to this project so the house can be paid off quickly.  JazakAllah Khair.

Eidul Adha Salat will be held on Friday 1/21/05 at 9:00AM at the Community Mosque of Winston-Salem.  There will be activities after the Salat and going into the weekend.  A letter will be sent to principals of all Elementary, Middle & High school letting them know that students should not be penalized for taking off this day as agreed.

Announcements for Friday 12-03-2004

As most of us know that Br. Reda will be leaving us in a few days to go back to Egypt Inshallah.  Everyone has benefited very much from the presence of Br. Reda.  He has given us new enthusiasm to try to learn more about the Deen.  As Br. Reda has jump started this enthusiasm in many of us, we must continue to learn more about Islam.  Shortly there will be announcements of classes that will be held at the Community Mosque.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in these classes.

There will be a Shura meeting held at 4:00pm on Sunday 12/5/04 at the Community Mosque.

There will be a bake sale for the department of Women Affairs at the Community Mosque on 10th of December.  The order forms will be collected next Jummah and the treats will be distributed next Jummah 12/17/04.  Inshallah.

Saturday 11/20/2004 from 8:00AM to 1:00PM the Community Mosque will have a YARD SALE.  This may be one of the last yard sale until the weather gets warm again.  Donations are requested of usable items.

The Community Mosque Academy is having a teacher's meeting this coming Sunday, 11/21/2004 at 2:00PM after the school.

Timing of the Salatul Jummah:  The first adan will be at 12:45PM and the Khutba will start at 1:00PM.  Khutba will end on or before 1:30PM.

Every Sunday after Salatul Isha.  There will be a 30 minute discussion on Hadeith and just about anything regarding Islam.  You are encouraged to join.

Eid will be celebrated on Sunday, November 14, 2004 based on information circulated that a new moon will be born tonight but it will be so young that it would be impossible to see it through the naked eye.  Therefore the Eid will be on Sunday

Eid will be celebrated at Kennedy Middle School at 9:00 AM which is located at 1000 Highland Ave.  This is right off of highway 52.  There are number of activities planned throughout the day including activities for children.

Zakat-ul-Fitr or Sadqat-ul-Fitr is $8.00 for each person that you are responsible for in the household.  If you have the annual Zakat that is 2.5% of your savings for the year, we can collect that as well and distribute it to the needy right away.

Cost of some of the children's activities for Eid will cost around $300.  We need donations to cover the price of these activities for children

Candidate report card that was put together by an organization called CHANGE are available to assist voters in making educated decision.

A brother is in need of everyone's help.  This brother lost merchandise of great value in a truck fire. 

Volunteers are needed for security for sister who will be attending a YWCA camp in King, NC.  Volunteers are needed on Saturday and Sunday noon.  Please see Imam Khalid.

On Sunday 10-23-2004 there will be a meeting for an organization called CHANGE from 4:00pm till 5:30pm.  Meeting will be held at, Reverend John Mindez's Churh (Emanual Baptist Church), 1075 Shalimar Drive.  Chris Baumann who is the head of this organization has been to the Community Mosque several times for Jummah and this is a very important community meeting. We are trying to get at least 15 Muslims to give up an hour and a half for this meeting.  After the meeting we will come to the mosque for collective iftar.

Community Mosque now has an online "Discussion Forum" and you are encouraged to register and share your views.

On Sunday 10-17-2004 there will be a marriage ceremony held at the Community Mosque at 5:30PM.  Brother Muhammad Atiba & Maumina Hunt are getting married.  Reception will follow and requires an invitation.

Department of Women Affairs has sponsored a yard sale on Saturday October 16th from 8:00am until 1:00pm.  If you have any usable clothes or other items that could be sold, please bring them at the Community Mosque.

Department of women affairs will meet this coming Wednesday, October 20th at 6:00pm

Taraveh prayers will be held here at the mosque each night after salatal isha at 8:30pm

Pot Luck collective iftars will be held on this Saturday and Sunday.
